Hotel Chamber Seeks Solutions from Health Minister
The board of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels recently discussed key issues with Health Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos that concern both the hotel industry and the health ministry.
The chamber underlined the problems hotels face in the process to obtain a swimming pool license as well as problems that relate to health issues of stores that operate within hotels.
Also discussed were issues in relation to the promotion of tourism health center standards and the health care inadequacies of tourist destinations during peak season.
Health Minister Avramopoulos expressed his interest for the immediate settlement of the problems and agreed to the creation of a joint committee of representatives of the tourism ministry and the hotel chamber.
The committee will examine all technical and legal details and will propose comprehensive proposals to solve all pending issues.
