Agrotouristiki Closes Down
The leadership of the tourism development ministry announced the closing down of its principal sector for agrotourism activity, Agrotouristiki S.A, which the ministry claims has faced long-term financial and operational programs. The general assembly of Agrotouristiki shareholders officially decided on the liquidation of the company last month.
Agrotouristiki SA was created in 2001 with the Tourism Development Company (ETA) as its primary shareholder and under the jurisdiction of the tourism development ministry, ATE bank and the Technical Olympic group of companies, with the aim of developing alternative forms of tourism such as agrotourism. Until recently its president and managing director was Brigitta Papastavrou.
