New Hotel Chain Takes Greek Market by Storm
A new hotel chain, Grace Hotels, marked its presence in the Greek market with the launch of Mykonos Grace Hotel recently. Mykonos Grace, a boutique hotel, won worldwide recognition in 2007 and was awarded the first prize at the European Hotel Design Awards held in London for Hotel Design of the Year. The European Hotel Design awards, with a ten-year tradition, are acknowledged as the most significant annual event for hotel design.
The hotel also won a silver award for the most innovative hotel at the Morpheus Awards held at Philoxenia 2007.
Grace Hotels, which belongs to the Greek company First Mediterranean Investments, a holding group for specialist investment companies and a subsidiary of The Libra Group, aims for further expansion this year with the construction of three hotels in Paros, Santorini and Kea respectively.
The hotels in question are Paros Grace Hotel & Residences, Santorini Grace Hotel and Kea Grace Hotel & Residences. The group aims to construct these three hotels with the same aesthetic appeal of the Mykonos Grace Hotel, and within the premises allow for an array of luxury villas. The group specializes in the construction of hotels with the boutique concept, but has announced its plans for expansion in the field of transport, health and energy.
