POET Joins SETE
The Panhellenic Federation of Tourist Enterprises (POET) became a member of the Association of Greek Tourist Enterprises (SETE) last month to support the association’s efforts to more fully represent tourism enterprises in the country.
The federation primarily represents travel agencies and tourism buses, but also represents shipping agencies and yachting enterprises. The federation has more than 950 members and represents more than 5,000 employees.
SETE President Stavros Andreadis welcomed POET and said that today more than ever before, it is crucial for all organizations within the tourism sector to unite. “We are certain that through our cooperation with POET and SETE’s other association-members, we can work together and more effectively fight for the resolution of the critical issues plaguing tourism in Greece, and set a course for its development.”
POET President Giorgios Doukas said that given the significant role of travel enterprises in shaping both the tourism product and tourism policy, the federation’s board voted to join SETE because it provides a collective and strong voice for the entire range of tourism businesses.
Other members of SETE include EEAE, EPEST, SEOES, SEEN, STEEA, HATTA, SEEDDE, Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association of Hellas (AOPA) and Hellenic Association of Professional Congress Organizers (HAPCO).
