9th Panorama Tourism Fair Scheduled For April
Next year’s domestic tourism fair, Panorama, the ninth, takes place once again at the OLP Exhibition Center in Piraeus. The fair opens on April 22 and continues through to April 25. The Kalofolia Group, the fair’s organizer, announced that the honored destination next year will be the Attica Prefecture, home of the 2004 Olympic Games, along with the Olympic Cities. (The Piraeus and Magnesias areas have already shown interest in participating.)
And besides concentrating on the relationship between sports and tourism, the fair’s organizers will host all the sectors that are involved in the organization of the Games under one roof and under the special banner “Greece 2004.” All will be within an area immediately after the fair’s entrance.
Organizers, however, say the basic aim of the fair remains the same, and that is promotion of domestic tourism destinations to the Greek traveler with the end result being an extension of the country’s tourism period.
Next year’s major seminar concentrates on the “Mediterranean Diet – Model Olympian Diet – Gastronomy.”
On top of promising a fair just as successful as this year’s, the organizers promise to strengthen the professional face of the fair and improve the planning and placing of stands so as to modernize and beautify the fair in general.
