Airtour Greece Revamps Services, Changes Name And Looks To Franchises
Airtour Greece, a subsidiary of German tour operator TUI and its official representative here, has been renamed TUI Hellas. Airtour has been operating here for the past 30 years and is one of the most successful and best-organized offices of its kind in Greece. It hosted some 900,000 visitors to Greece last year.
Just prior to the change, Airtour improved its organizational structure and services though a number of major internal changes. In particular, its corporate services department was amalgamated with TUI of Germany’s ‘Have a Good Trip’ section. The change also resulted in the creation of a corporate and leisure services department, which focuses on long-haul destinations. The department is also responsible for information on hotel bookings worldwide through electronic reservations systems.
The company, as well, now searches for representatives in various areas around Greece to conclude marketing cooperation agreements and to conclude franchise agreements.
Similar changes have taken place at TUI subsidiaries throughout all of Europe.
